Re: Covers of Polly

Well, this is one way to cover 'Send His Love To Me'. Extremely unusual to see a band doing a cover of Polly anyway in my country.

ATP IBYM London - Mogwai, Slayer, Melvins, Afghan Whigs etc
Seriously thought about that too but can't travel in May. And though very good the line-up isn't quite as stellar (for me) as last summer.

Instead I just booked for ...

Re: Where the President quotes Jello Biafra and PJ Harvey

The speech is on YT, Polly quote starts at 9:55:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyMN3hmcoHE

The President talks about the interview with David Cameron and Polly and quotes lyrics from The Last Living Rose. And he praises LES. A very cool man for a President, lucky Estonians.

Re: What are you listening to...?

Samples from the upcoming Jeffrey Lee Pierce (The Gun Club) tribute album 'The Journey Is Long'.

Very interesting artists involved in the project: Nick Cave, Mick Harvey, Warren Ellis, Mark Lanegan, Debbie Harry, Lydia Lunch, The Jim Jones Revue etc.

There's no less than two different duet ...

Re: Polly Admiration (Muso fans)

Came across this, hasn't been posted has it?

Serge Pizzorno (Kasabian):

How do you feel about PJ Harvey winning this year’s Mercury prize?
Serg: “I think it’s fantastic. She’s one of those artists I’d love to work with one day. I’m very happy she won, she is really beautiful and talented.”

I ...

Re: help!

I googled a bit just out of curiosity. On LinkedIn I found the profile of this person who claims to be PJ Harvey's assistant manager: http://www.linkedin.com/pub/missy-iredell/8/373/293
She's also on Facebook and Twitter so maybe she could be contacted. She might be only handling the management in the US though, don't know..
