Sundry Pieces - poetry and podcast

Post by AineteEkaterini »

I thought this review of Orlam was the most worthwhile I've read so far: https://thefridaypoem.com/your-death-op ... ark-world/

I put this in a separate topic, and not under Orlam itself, because it links to an eight hour podcast account of Polly on Spotify. I haven't listened to that yet!

Nice review, although disappointing that he thinks Orlam is a severed head rather than an eyeball - he needs to read it a fourth time.

Interesting reference to Roland Barthes, I've been meaning to look him up since finding the John Parish track called "Roland Barthes didn't do country" and wondering who the heck he was.

I have already heard the podcast. I found it was interesting enough to listen through all of it, but they do go off on tangents now and again.

My eye (which is still attached) skated over that! He also mistakes Kane-Jude for Ira-Abel's friend, instead of her brother. So a review more insightful than it is careful.
