hope six (demolition project)

hi everyone, I'm new here ;)
I'm researching PJ for an essay, and I wonder if any of you is possibly from UK and was in some way affected by Hope VI, or at least understand what it was, it goals and outcome? links to further reading welcome as well; it's kinda hard for me to get to know more about it since I'm not from UK and I'm trying to understand Harvey's criticism of it.

Well, first of all, HOPE VI was a gentrification program in the USA, not the UK (and it was introduced not only in the Washington D.C. area that Polly writes about, but also in other parts of the country). I guess Wikipedia wouldn't be a bad place to start. Also:
