I wonder what the concept for the video TWTMM will be, and how good it will be. And if she's made it yet or not.
Ditto. She really has the music to make epic videos and imagery. But 1-she probably won't have funding, 2-she may just end up using the short films that are already made.

Do you really think so? One of the visualettes? Hmmm..that would be pretty tight lol. I'm sure she can make a bigger effort than that. She should have the funding to come up wih something better than that. Even if the video is as simple as the video for "Shame" I'll be satisfied. That didn't look like it cost a great deal to make. Just as long as it's not a rehash of the "When Under Ether" video - because that song was so evocative..they could have done something a little more imaginitive IMO.

Ok, TWTMM somehow sounds different to the small clip, the rhythm's not quite as rich as I remember it being. The chorus is brilliant...very dissonant song overall. Beefheart meets Siouxsie? That's the vibe I get. I like it.

Given this a few more listens, brilliant. It's probably the most exciting so far. lol. This might be the most stupid description anyone's ever heard but this song is totally The Banshees + The Magic Band kidnap Michael Jackson in a Monty Python sketch!

Yes, that clip from the secret show really grabbed me. It may turn out that the live versions of the songs are better than the album tracks. Gotta say I'm not a fan of the revely horn sample. Anyone at the secret show remember if they used it there?

i second that, that horn is annoying and i'd really LOVE to hear the song without it cause it's really good song. but it's probably done on purpose.

^The song needs the Horn! That's what really makes it so distinguisheable.

yeah yeah i know, but it's so off-key that i cannot listen to it often. i guess it was done to strengthen the expression of the song. but it's probably a good thing, i won't ever overlisten this song and i still like it very much

At 1:52, the way she sings is sooo Siouxsie. She must have listen to her records recently . At 1:22, when John Parish and Mick Harvey singing, this is so Bad Seed-esque. I swear I can hear Blixa Bargeld voice too :)

Thanks for the link, megique ;)

Zane saving the tastiest morsel of music for the final few minutes of the show, how typical.

oh thanks a lot for this!!!
zane cant keep his mouth shut? >.> ruined the song from beginning to end, specially end, lame bitch hahaha but seriously, the other radio broadcast (bitter branches, hanging, glorious land) is more sensitive about ppl enjoying the whole track, does somebody knows where we could check on the BBC site when the single will be played again? for sure the next time will be more clean and less "if u want more buy the album" XD

this song really hooked me, i loved this track. im starting to get happy about this album :D i think this kind of vintage folkish lo-fi of this song, last living rose and glorious land sounds like her "new" for her sonority profile, is what makes her not repeat herself and what sounds genuine. the other songs are good but still resembling very pj harvey, and a little and weaker pj harvey =/ but in the end, still good, very hard for her to make bad things anyway

Someone, on PJ Harvey's last fm page, posted a link to the whole "The words that maketh murder" song. It seems that this is not from a radio broadcast (quality is too good and it doesn't cut abruptly, I don't know where they get it), so I'm not sure I can post the direct link here. There's the "What if I take my problem to the United Nations?" part which contains a very beautiful guitar and fits well with the rest of the song. IMO, "The Glorious Land" and "TWTMM" are the most brilliant songs of the 6 we already heard.

Edit: Nathan posted it at Amusement Park viewtopic.php?f=5&t=812
