I understand that feeling :) there's been plenty of times when polly's music overwhelms me so much that i either tear up or cry because it's so beautiful/wonderful/surprising/whatever

if one were to want to purchase the 7" where could one find it? :) i've checked hmv, her site, and amazon uk to find it and i cant seem to find :( i just wanna preorder, peej :)

Checked all the regular online sites and can't find the 7" for sale on any of them. This weekend I'm going to place an order for the new album at my local independant music shop I'll ask about the 7" then (can order one for you if you're stuck). Meanwhile here's the artwork for The Words That Maketh Murder:

i'll call my local shops to see if it's possible to get it though i doubt they can because previously for her single releases they couldn't order them :( i'll keep you posted on if i can get one or not, and thanks!

Yeah, this is the first time I like her music instantly. Usually most songs grow before they completely win me over. The Glorious Land is definitely my favorite.

The Glorious Land is so good. I love the bugle call! Can't wait to see this live!

Thanks for all this.

It is different from what she has done so far for sure, as usual. Though Glorious Land sounds like a continuation of what she experimented with Sixteen, Fifteen, Fourteen, for instance.

I'm not sure I like it too much, we will see with some time and the feel of the whole album.

Both songs kind of remind me of Arcade Fire. Same kind of sound, though the songs themselves are different.

I second that!
I'm resisting the urge to listen to the various bits that have popped up here and there, I prefer to wait for the whole album experience... but it's getting harder with your comments!

Is it a good sign? Because usually songs that grow on you resist time better than songs you instantly like...

Awesome, thank you! I hadn't yet listened to "Hanging In the Wire." Though I'll have to admit, I'm trying really hard not to listen to these too many times. I want to take the whole album in when I get it. :green:

Me too. I listened to the 1st 2 leaked songs, but I'm waiting for the album to hear the rest. I'm really looking forward to it.

I now wish I hadn't been so greedy. I'm going to stop listening until the full album arrives. I'm loving the songs but I must be sensible.

Hanging In The Wire is gorgeous, I love the low register she sings in layered with the high yet soft voice.
