I am so very sorry to hear this news. Gerri was a long time contributor here and a devoted fan. It was she that spent many hours working on the PJ Harvey gigography before she passed it on to me, and then many hours working on it with me, checking data and keeping it up to date. My thoughts go out to her and her family, she will be missed.

Very sorry to hear that. Gerri will be missed very much, she meant a lot to this little community. My heart goes out to you and your family, Robert.

Tonight I'll definitely listen to one of the recordings she helped document.

That is so sad. We owe Gerri a lot for starting the gigography. I first encountered her on atforumzed, a long departed forum site that she was a contributor to in the UHH era when I first became a PJH fan. I corresponded with Gerri recently via PM and we commiserated that many formerly active forums were gone, replaced by (much inferior in my opinion) FB groups. Luckily, this one survives, thanks to H&HW!

It’s Gerri (Sferrazza). This is a really astoundingly perverted and degenerate thing someone else has done - saying I was dead at 46. But I can trace it’s origins back to March 12. My husband Robert and I were spending a few hours lounging on the grass on Friday (beautiful sunny day here in NY) in front of our garden apartment building and when the day was over and I was getting ready for bed around 9 I could not find my iPhone. I thought oh no I must’ve dropped it somewhere outside. I retraced my steps all around the building and could not find it anywhere. I temporarily suspended the service but not fast enough. It was unlocked when I lost it. We have a creepy vile old lady living in the building who’s home ALL THE TIME and watches everyone and everything. She for reasons unknown to us does not like my husband or me. I think it’s because my husband is Jewish and I am not. That bothers her. There are very few Jewish people in the building and immediate surrounding area in our neighborhood.This woman must’ve snatched my phone after we left the outside and perused it. Because 99.99% of the information in my “obituary”(<-makes me cringe and chuckle at same time) is factually correct. But not the dying part. Lol. I have lost my parents and their business in Nova Scotia as have my siblings. I have been having a bad time over the last few years. Etc. Apparently, she must know all of this just from looking at my iPhone. Again, I can’t think of anyone besides this woman who I barely know at all doing something like this.

My phone turned up almost a day later on Saturday in the basement of our apartment building. I thought oh good someone found it lying in the grass and left it in a common area for me to find. Or I left it there and just didn’t remember? I don’t know. There’s really nothing I can do because it’s more of a sick prank perpetrated by an evil neighbor than a crime. I’d just rather change my password and always have the lock screen applied all the time. Big mistake not to - I could have avoided anything bad that way.

I just don’t know how she could (or anyone else) have possibly known my password to get onto this site. We live in a surveillance state and it seems like nothing is a secret. I’m writing the same thing to everyone who responded. I’m not dead.

Well on one hand, I am sorry this happened to you. I hope you get it all straightened out.

On the other, GOOD TO HAVE YOU BACK! I was very sad there, and this is great news! Thank you for for getting back to us. So I'm cringing and chuckling too. <3

I changed my password and made a new email address. Even the old email address I had associated with my account settings here had been deleted by the unknown person who pilfered my phone and did all this. I’m changing all of my passwords everywhere. Monitoring accounts, etc. So far, damage seems almost nonexistent - like less than F0 tornado. Lol.
