It definitely is!

The album hasn't even been released yet and people are discussing it so passionately! Mission accomplished?

does anybody know where to be looking for a leak lol? I mean with all the people who have had this album in their hands, there has to be something.

I think this time she really sealed it hermetically in a vault and only BBC has access to it so far :tear: ....
As it seems the songs will leak one by one.

All I can do right now is this old school strategy:
- I set a key search for each one of the non-leaked songs on Twitter on different tabs
- I pin the tabs (I'm using Firefox, though it works also on Chrome)
- Everytime something new comes up the tab "blinks" and I go check it, that's how I got to know about Medicinals right after the broadcast, it didn't show up on the results for the "hope six" search tab perhaps because the title of the album is too long to be included

I work 99% of the time staring at my browser so is easy to follow lol

I have only one search position - "PJ Harvey", but I still seen it.

^ for PJ Harvey the tab gets blinking all the time, too much posts related, things either end up lost or I won't see it that fast

What if I take my problem to the United Nations?

yes, haha. A Line in The Sand is also inspired by a UN agency. She's an artist, not a diplomat.

I looked about, what did I see?
Medicinals growing 'round me,
rising from the GRAA-VUUUHHHL

I love the progression of the sax along with her afflictions. I've loved every released song already, and some of my most anticipated are still unheard. I swear she is the best.

If PJ Harvey did not exist she’d be difficult to imagine.

I quite liked that line too, she's totally unique. In terms of changing style and progressing, David Bowie is one of the few that comes to mind. I feel like Bowie had more missteps than PJ though. I can say PJ's maybe the one of two or three artists that I still follow really closely every album because I know it will be something of worth.

P.S- it seems she's releasing all the short tracks. Listening to COH, then OM, then Medicinals all together it feels like somethings missing because the tracks are all so short. They'll fit better when played with the longer tracks.

I agree. Out of curiosity, who are the other two?

currently, i follow wussy. i typically like the swans new releases. to a lesser degree joanna newsom. fiona apple, if she released music more frequently lol. i want to say dylan, but his work is too inconsistent.
95 percent of the artists i really like that are still alive have burned out though. it def seems like most the music i listen to is 60s and 70s. and PJ.

edit- i should mention arcade fire too
