Rob Ellis (on twitter). I don't know, but I think he might be a bit biased! :-):

'Very nice!...my favourite PJH album too...My favourite album: Dry by PJ Harvey http://gu.com/p/32gax/tw via @guardian'

Thom Yorke played "When Under Ether" yesterday when he guest hosted on BBC 6 radio. Coincidentally, Jarvis Cocker also played the same tune on his radio show yesterday!

^He didn't sing it! lol

That wouldn't be such a bad idea though. He has the vocal chords to pull off those high notes. He as well as Jarvis Cocker played it on BBC 6 radio. Here is the link to the playlist: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0162gs5

^Oh yeah sorry, I was just in a hurry this morning and read it too quickly. Now I'm disappointed. :grin:
Thanks for the link.

Noah & The Whale:

"eB: So is there a new record on the way?"

""Last Night On Earth was a very American-influenced record and I'd like this one to be our English record. It's hard to write about England, but it's something I'd like to do. PJ Harvey did a great album recently and it was very inspiring watching Pulp because Jarvis Cocker writes about England in a very romantic way."

Florence Welch:

"Florence, PJ Harvey, Adele and Laura Marling are all flying the flag for real female talent in British music." ""I'm kind of in awe of those singers but I'm proud to be mentioned with them," she tells me."

Not going to comment on Marling becuase I don't know any of her material. Adele? Yick! Florence seems like a lovely girl, very photogenic too...reminds me of a redhead Uma Thurman. Really can't stand her music though. The new Kate Bush? Give me a fucking break! Not only has she done nothing to warrant being mentioned in the same sentence; her style is closer to that of someone like Toyah Wilcox. New Toyah Wilcox? ....fine! Kate is just about untouchable! So, it seems that they were spot on about only one of those artists..try and guess who! ;)

Chris Walla(Death Cab For Cutie):

"Do you still listen to anything you were listening to in high school? If so, what?" -"Most of it! Talking Heads have never left rotation, nor have Eno, PJ Harvey, or Kate Bush."

This is so good to read that! The Residents (even if Molly is not completely part of The Residents) + PJ Harvey, my two favourites musical artists. Hope to read that PJ loves The Residents one day (there are similarities with the experimental Captain Beefheart). When I heard "Let England Shake" live the first time, I thought: "she must have listened to The Residents recently". I'm gonna try to find videos somewhere of that show :)

Yes. Love what Molly brought with her voice to their music. When I wrote "not part of the Residents" I was meaning, she's not part of all their projects (like the last one "Coochie Brake" for example). She was not on stage for the "Talking Light" shows. But it's obvious that she featured a lot of their albums :)

The Residents have a new singer?!!

Sometimes? She wasn't there the last time I saw them play. A while ago.
