Whoa... that's a first. Does anyone have this interview? I wonder what he's heard of her work. He seems pretty traditional in terms of his tastes, but he probably gravitates towards her bluesier stuff.

Ellie Goulding on twitter. I'm guessing this means she is a fan!:

It's from a really old online chat with Keith, circa 95 - 96, from an old forum. I forgot to save the page though, and now have lost the link completely! Sorry :tear:. It's nice for Polly though, she's said that he's her hero before.

Bending the rules a bit. Not a musician but actress Gemma Arterton:

'I love PJ Harvey as well. The music industry is the one place you can really express yourself as a woman.'

Polly in Patti Smith's list of her top ten favourite things at the moment:

"9 P. J. HARVEY’S THE WORDS THAT MAKETH MURDER VIDEO (2011)
The current trend in music videos is to pump them full of predators, pop sex, and outdated s/m imagery. In contrast, this unheralded piece (directed by Seamus Murphy) is a wisp of humanity celebrating the small things, including the wonderful singer herself."

Liam Fray(The Courteeners) twitter:

"Listening to PJ Harvey. Awesome. The verses of 'In The Dark Place' sound very much like 'There Is a Light'. Accidentally Ironic?"
I have always said that.

Katy B again:

"Having an open mind towards music must have meant you were chuffed to be nominated for the Mercury, were you a little disappointed at missing out to PJ?"

"She definitely deserved it, I mean she’s PJ Harvey; she’s a bit of a legend isn’t she. And she gets to enjoy it this time; last time it was around 9/11 so it wasn’t really a time to celebrate. Those sorts of events put things into perspective don’t they, so it’s great that she got to enjoy it this time."

Another from Polly Mackey:

"Listening to @peggysueband's new album. FINALLY something to listen to when I've exhausted my PJ Harvey collection. #love"

Kate Cooper(An Horse): "
2 "Henry Lee," with PJ Harvey: Harvey is one of my favorite artists in the world. She should be lauded far more. She and Cave are both such powerful artists. Their working together probably created some weird wormhole in the universe. This song is Cave's interpretation of a traditional folk song. It's haunting." (Nick Cave's 5 best murder ballads)

Reasons Why I <3 PJ Harvey no.1052: Steve Albini claims that whilst making her second album, ‘Rid Of Me’, the singer only ate potatoes.
