Guilty Pleasures

Post by Pitifuljoy »

We all have them, so fess up, kids!

I'll start.

Kylie Minogue. - Mindless fun music that makes me wanna dance. I can't help it!

Erasure - Enough said!

Men Without Hats - So bad, yet so good, yet so bad.

Some Madonna - My friends are always surprised I listen to her, so there you go.

Shakira - The spanish stuff mostly. But yeah, it's not something I go around telling people. Well, til now.

UB40 - yeah, I know. I KNOW....

Katy Perry- I'm starting to feel a little less guilty about this, but I don't know... Teenage Dream just got me..damn it..

I kinda like one Taylor Swift song and that big Lady Antebellum song, and make no mistake, I do have a serious guilty pleasure for those two.. I don't think people I know even know I like those haha

Haha. I was at a club a few weeks ago and since I wasn't drunk enough yet, I payed attention to what was playing. It was awful. So I asked my friend what it was. She looked at me and said, "you don't want to know." She then leaned in and said, "it's Katy Perry."

Trust me, I'm not happy about it and few people know that I dig a few songs... trying to keep it on the DL in my life.. eek :o

Last time I was out and pretty drunk Kesha was playing and I was rocking out to it, decided I liked that song, downloaded it, and the next day was like what the fuck why did I download that. Oh, alcohol, how you have a way...

Did the music drive you away? I had forgotten that it Is ABBAABBAABBAABBAA all the way through, but managed to like it anyway.

God, their melodies are sophomoric.

oh noo! everything BUT the music...! (though I didn't much care for the alternative versions... as little as I managed to hear  )
To me ABBA is the core of teenage life in the 70's/early 80's - I'm simply 13-14 again... back when dancing cheek-to-cheek was the romantic peak of every party.
(no Meryl Streep or Pierce Brosnan middle age groping that memory, please...)

So, this just brings tears to my eyes (pathetic, but real :eyeroll: )
