When I was young, Mitch Miller had a TV (probably radio too) show, "Sing Along With Mitch." We loathed it. My wife and I, growing up on different ends of the state, both remember this show as "Sting Along With Itch."

The song was written in 1836, and I'm not THAT old. I just read that this version knocked Bill Haley's Rock Around the Clock out of the #1 spot. DAMN! People had such strange tastes back then.
