"New Soundtrack Channel and ME Television deliver the “Best SXSW Performances” this 4th of July Weekend

As part of its new programming, Soundtrack Channel (http://www.soundtrackchannel.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) will broadcast an entire weekend of great performances filmed during the SXSW Music Festival in Austin, Texas. The show is being specially produced by Austin’s ME Television (http://www.metelevision.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) using footage from its SXSW coverage over the past four years (2007-2010). The artists presented include Andrew Bird, Ozomatli, P.J. Harvey, M. Ward, Peter Bjorn and John, Tift Merritt, Matt Morris and Willie Nelson. “This event brings new and unseen content to Soundtrack Channel’s viewers and ME Television is proud to bring its exciting live music content to a larger audience,” said Kevin Kettler, CEO, ME Television."

As expected, both stc and metv web sites above appear to be completely useless. According to wikipedia, AT&T Uverse and Verizon FIOS carry it (but not Comcast, which is what I have).

This performance was absolutely phenomenal. It was streamed live on 2009-03-20 as one of 3 different performances that day for the opening day of SXSW (I didn't get much work done that afternoon). Unfortunately nobody captured it (as I recall the KEXP SXSW web site did not stream it via flash, but via a Microsoft browser plugin called Silverlight). A short snippet of audience recorded video of The Chair does exist:

I remember later reading that this was filmed in HD with something like 5 cameras. There was a memorable set of flickr photos taken also. Here's one:

The audio was captured since it was (FM) broadcast live by KEXP that day and someone was ready for it. This was torrented on dime later. Here's the info file:

So, does anyone get "The Soundtrack Channel"? I doubt we'll get more than 1 or 2 songs, but it'd sure be great to capture them!

Nothing.

I did post a query about this on the "soundtrack channels" useless web site. Somebody will probably see it in 2014. I also sent an email to the contact listed on the metelevision web site. I'm not holding my breath..
