during one of my usual evening marathons of PJ's live performances, i came across an interesting and funny finding. in this "white chalk"-era performance, https://youtu.be/hYLknYDSVw0 , Polly is quite talkative and explains the actual origin of the " Nina in ecstasy" title. quoting from 30:29 bookmark:

[...] we can keep doing this as the evening goes on we can keep thinking of a few titles of everyday phrases... (couldn't get what the last sentence was)

She says, “I don’t think they [=U2] got one from a porno movie, though” (I actually attended this very gig, she was quite chatty throughout the whole concert indeed)

The other day I started looking for some old PJH demos to play to Amanda - stuff Ms.H hasn’t even put on her Rarities and Demos or whatever she called it. Probably, principally, the demos of ‘Glorious’ and ‘Slow-Motion-Movie-Star’ which I recorded on my own albums.

That would be amazing... "Glorious" and "slow motion movie star" are absolutely masterpieces, and Mick did a an outstanding job with his versions... i've always wondered if there could be PJ's demos, glad they actually exist.

Funny how he's playing "from her to eternity" in the clip, that's one of Polly's all time favourite songs.

pavelshadow21 Compilation that Polly released has mostly b-sides from her singles, also some rare track from other compilations and few demos. Recent rereleses of her albums had companion releases with demos. So I think there was no place for her original demos of Glorious and Slow Motion Movie Star. I really like your versions, Mick, but I really like to hear her versions too

I doubt she has anything like the Neil Young archives series, but this gives me hope that there's a bit we haven't heard yet.

This is a Great, Rare, Vintage 1998 "PJ - Dreams" Original MASTER recording cassette tape. This wonderful Old piece has a Great look, comes in it's Original case, is a "BASF - REFERENCE II MASTER", from "The Hit Factory" Archive, an Original, Vintage piece and is Very Rare to Find. This may be PJ Harvey, but we're not sure.

a song with that title is in the registered songs at BMI so might be one of hers..
