secret gig? https://twitter.com/coco_fontaine/statu ... 2152159232
I think the same, she'll be touring in autumn and more gigs will be added
also think that @coco_fontaine will go to a reading of The Hollow of the Hand
I understand that she doesn't want to be interviewed about this record, it speaks alone

she also signed a new booking deal last year.. http://www.billboard.com/articles/busin ... g-deal-agi

"I am incredibly honored and excited to work with such an amazing artist," says Vlasic in a statement. “Having this opportunity is extremely thrilling, and I can’t wait to share her talents and expand her touring in the United States and Canada."

so maybe she will still expand the tour. there's still Hope, hope, hope, hope!

The one song Im not too keen on is surprising because it was the one i expected to love. The out of tune voices on River Anacostia are bothering me. I wish there was a way I could just mute that part of the song lol. But I like Chain of Keys more after repeated listens, more so than the live version. I don't know if its intentional, but the album sounds better after you listen to LES. Actually, I think both sound better next to each other. The lighter sound of LES gives a balance to the heavy sound here.I almost want to say they should be together on an extra long album. Not saying they are identical, but there is a similar thread running through. The martial beats, brass instruments. Chain of Keys reminds me a bit of All and Everyone. Ministry of Defense a bit In the Dark Places, Line in the Sand- The Glorious Land

The voices on River Anacostia do not sound out of tune to me. Although Polly's very quiet, high pitched hum on the end of Chain of Keys sounds odd.

The brass notes on the end of Chain of Keys is similar to the brass at the end of All and Everyone, it follows a very similar pattern.

The most noticevaly out of tune part in the song is right before she sings, a small red sun makes way for night and the male voices are singing wade in the water. Its just distracting from the emotion of the song for me. The atonality works on Ministry of defense and ministry of social affairs to me. Not as well here, but at least its only in a few parts. Polly sings great on it.

What is Polly saying at the end of River Anacostia while the male voices are singing "wade in the water"? Can't quite make it out.
Also what is said in the first 3 seconds of The Orange Monkey? It sounds like John Parish (?) says something like "get some of that" and someone replies with a "hey! you started it"? Funny they kept that on the recording.

Anacostia has crept into my brain. It took me a while to fall asleep last night 'cause it was stuck in my head. Woke up and it was there again. It gives me a lot of Is This Desire? feels. Chain of Keys grew a whole lot on me since my first listen. The only song I don't seem to be playing as much anymore is Ministry Of Defence. The hammering guitar gets a little old, but I do love the sax. Another opinion, The Wheel is one of her all the time best songs. Words can't describe how it makes me feel. I love this album more with every listen.
I'll rub it, until it...

"What will become,
What will become of us?"

Chain of Keys is still probably my least favourite, but still good. The Wheel is an amazing song. :D

I agree, to me A Line in the Sand is like a cousin of The Glorious Land.
It's interesting they are both the third tracks on the albums

It was reflected in my transcription of the lyrics from Royal Festival Hall - "What will become if God's gonna trouble waters?".

And as for "if" I'm not entirely sure, but the last part was very noticeable in the live version - while male voices were saying "water", Polly for all three times was singing "waters".

Wonder if they made a video for each song like with LES? Hope so.
