Yes, the artist would probably describe herself as Swedish, as Malmö has been a swedish city since 1658.
I live just outside of town, and was actually at the club where this was recorded. It was an event called "A night with PJ Harvey", and a few different (quite unknown) artists performed their interpretations of PJ's songs.
Honestly I didn't care much for it, most of the artists didn't really know their PJ Harvey, they forgot the lyrics all the time. But there was some good covers. Don't know if those were recorded though.
