It's great news, I am so pleased that the judges didn't mysteriously think it was somehow beneath them to recognise the best album of the last 12 months. PJ has so deserved it for this record.
Aside: I can't think of another winner who has two albums ten years apart that sound so very different and were both so very good in very distinct ways. I'm always gonna have a soft spot for Stories because that is the album that got me into PJH in the first place, but play it next to LES and you wouldn't recognise the same artist: and I mean that in a good way.
