I dunno what to think. Let's hope in the music. I've always hated all that xmas shit, anyway.

Love the *concept* of the cover however tori from the waist up dosen't look real. :(
The necklace/choker? is not good... if this turns out to be the official cover I honestly have mixed feelings. I love tori as an artist, thats why I feel she deserves better. The music remains the most important and the song titles look very promising!

I invite you to express your opinions here.

Trying to answer your question here... Mmmmmh, it's hard, I'd not thought about this before, but it's a very interesting thing.

I love Tori's voice when she sings in her low range (bass range), like she does in the "You could almost drown her waterfall,
You could almost drown my waterfall" part of Ruby Through The Looking Glass, or in Enjoy The Silence, some parts in Liquid Diamonds, Purple People, etc. You know what I mean, I guess, right?

Well, what about performing "Electric Light"? It would be a little wierd, but could be beautiful too.

Other sugestions:

Civil War Correspondent (would be delicious)
We Float
The Dancer
Fountain
You Come Through
The Dark Days of Me and Him

Regarding Polly covering Tori Amos, let me think about it.

Hi :)

I hope you enjoyed the Tori show?

that's the case. she looks like some character from computer game. if she'd looked real, the cover would be very nice.

The cover art and title for the Christmas album are...concerning. I'm still looking forward to hearing the record, but, I have to say, I may have to wear a hood and sunglasses when I go to pick this up in stores.

I adore Strange Little Girls and I think it's a masterpiece.
Many xmas albums out there are good: Sufjan Stevens' and Low's, for example.
We'll see!

ps but I still think that in that cover she seems an egyptian mummy. :D

Mannequin, I think this is desired concept. She is a mannequin in this picture.

Talking more about Strange Little Girls and this cover, imagine Tori floating as is with sky and clouds behind, her dress and clothes moving by the wind, while singing Raining Blood... Wow, it's a perfect match, doesn't it?

Yep! It would be perfect with her 2001 image. I loved how she looked like in the SLG era.

and yeah, it is tacky.
generally the idea of making christmas album is at least weird if we are talking about Tori :/

strictly speaking it isn't a christmas but a midwinter album. and Tori has been very explicit about this, intentionally naming it in a non-christian way.

oh, for a moment there I thought the question might have been addressed to me as well. now that I've been to my first Tori show on this tour.

the first thing I told her, at the meet & greet in Copenhagen, was: "how do you feel about playing in such a beautiful venue?"

what ensued was a conversation about the Copenhagen Opera House, she asked me if I knew what year it was built (and I took a guess, but told her I wasn't sure, though it was quite recently, just a few years ago), then asked me (just to confirm) if I'd been inside there already (because she admitted that she still hadn't been inside the hall - this was before the soundcheck, she had probably just arrived at thye venue), and I told her it was three years ago almost to the day. and then came the question (Tori asking me): "so who did you see?", and I replied: "PJ Harvey". whereupon Tori's response was to lean forward and look me closer up while caressing my shoulder saying "mmmmm!"

there you see, fellow PJ lovers, such a spontaneous response from Tori to the mere mention of PJ Harvey !

Cool! I don't think I'd have the nerve to hold a conversation with Tori, you're lucky! Tori's very kind in the meet & greets I hear. :)
