Thanks, mart. That looks very interesting. Some of Polly's art!
Wiggins is so superbly unassuming, he looks like he's about to say 'Pop the gold medal in the post, I'm nipping out for some biscuits'

"Mort annoncée du site PJ Harvey France"

Uh, does this say the French forum is dead or dying? That would be a bummer since it was one of the few remaining good sources of PJ info.

http://www.pj-harvey.net/component/opti ... 3/catid,2/

One of the few things my translator comes up with that approaches making sense -

"Thus this year I will not launch a call to contribution and the lodging of the site and domain name will not be renewed."

"Only exit that I can see, all to throw to the dustbin to set out again on something of simpler blog type with possibility of poster of the comments"

"Volunteers?"

yeah, these are the most important things. it says also something about less visitors, not enough time, not much news etc.
of course the volunteers are wanted to help organise this new blog or whatever it will be.

added this one to the list of French fan sites (above):
http://pollygraphy.pj-harvey.net/

Great collection of scans of album artwork etc.

It is apparently run by "amnesiac". I think I've seen this person bidding (big time) on items on eBay.

I noticed that too. Who's running this? I thought one of us was, but there's a couple out there.

No, I'm 99% sure it's an official Island-run site. Maybe they read this post and decided to do something:
http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=1 ... opic=16297

Nothing new on the official web site or myspace site as near as I can tell.

I just checked out some of the new photos, there are many I'm certain I've never seen before so it's somebody connected. :)

I'm certain it's official. Their announcments are generally in sync with the official web site and myspace. You can also "sign up" and there's a check box for the "Island Rock list". The biography text is the same as is used on the web site and myspace.

It's funny that there's no new discussion yet of this flurry of new pics on the discussion board there.

I just looked for "other" facebook PJ Harvey pages and I don't see the one I remember from several years ago that had a bunch of fan posted pics. I'm thinking Island must've bought it.
