Hello to all. My fandom goes back to TBYML in '95 or so. My first show was the ITD? tour at the Roxy in Atlanta, in 1998. 2nd, what I think was the first American SFC,SFS show in the basement of the Tabernacle, Atlanta, Dec, 2000, then saw Polly and Parish at Center Stage just last year. Powerful life changers all. I had fallen off a bit in recent years, but the strength of the new material drew me back in. I was a regular poster at the @forums PJH boards about ten years ago, in case there are any of those folks here now.
I look forward to participating in discussions here. Thanks.
My name is Matilda, I'm 20 years old and I live in Sweden. I just started listening to PJ last year and I'm totally hooked. It was because of a friend from a Tori Amos forum I decided to listen to who the fuck (that was deliberate )PJ was and what music she makes.
Other music I love is Tori Amos, Tool, Rammstein etc etc etc.
Hi, my name's Jack and I'm a 21 year old guy. I'm also swedish. I've been a lurker on this forum for maybe two years and I've been into Pj since 2008. Quite recently in other words but I've had a lot of musical idols before and after her. Nowadays it's a lot of that's mainstream to the "underground scene". Think mogwai, red house painters, joanna newsom. However I've loved trip-hop since childhood (techno-parents :P) so I'm thinking of making it for I'll be your mirror in London this summer. Polly and Portishead in the same evening. O_O Could be the best day of my life... Besides listening and playing music (guitar) I'm into old movies and attend the Stockholm Cinematheque as often as I can. Guess that's about it for my geekish sides.
Really glad I found this forum! I`ve been listening to PJ for over 15 years now (can`t believe it`s been that long...) But since I`m roughly the same age as PJ I simply can`t be old yet (because she certainly isn`t )
Already found loads of great threads on the forum, think I`ll be spending quite a few hours reading the posts.
Looking forward to seeing Polly live at ATP/Alexandra Palace in July with my wife, who probably is an even bigger PJ fan than I am!
