Re: Happy Birthday Polly - all grown up today
if I'd been at my regular abode, with access to my stereo equipment and my own computer and everything, I would have celebrated the big b-day by playing something special, as well as making a birthday cake for Polly Jean and eating it myself (for lack of local company to share it with - like-minded persons lacking in the neighborhood).
as it was I found myself still on the road following Tori and PJ's 40th birthday coincided with Tori's show in Zabrze, Poland. so I took up the matter with Tori at the meet & greet, suggesting that she might play one of Polly's songs in the way of observing the big b-day. (but she didn't, however she did play a somewhat interesting improv, which for a moment made me think she was going to follow my request.) - more about this in the Tori section of the Turn Up The Radio forum.
anyway I must spell it out loud here and now (although one day belated): Happy Birthday to Polly Jean, and best wishes for many good years to follow her 40th.
