It's weird. Like she had a picture and made up a story about it. But then where did the picture come from? I don't get it.

That person deleted the tweet, but I saw where she wrote "My dad's even cooler now." or something like that. So maybe Polly's a friend of her dad's or something. That would mean Polly's in the States though. Hmm....

We must invite her here and get the details!

Ah, yeah, I was talking about the tweet that mentioned her dad. She deleted that one.

Well, I've done some PI work across the interwebs (as EMA would put it - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbKzyQxYfHA), and while I don't have definite proof, it seems reasonable to me that this girl's father that Polly was meeting is a man called Mohammad Nasib.

There is a Mohammad Nasib listed as living in Springfield, VA (the girl's location), who is (or was) the managing director of WADAN - The Welfare Association for the Development of Afghanistan. http://www.wadan.org/, http://www.wadan.org/archive.asp?ContID=44.

Since Polly's been traveling to Afghanistan lately and writing about her travels, I think it's quite possible that this theory is valid... and perhaps it's a completely different Mr. Nasib she's hanging out with.
