To my complete and utter surprise just read in the Guardian's "this week's new releases" a review of Written On The Forehead. Nothing on the official website, Island Records, Amazon, or HMV. Quite strange to have the third single released more than a year after the album but perhaps Island want to capitalise on LES topping most best of 2011 lists, and to coincide with a best album win at the Brit Awards this week.

Written on the forehead? The last thing written on my forehead was a four-letter word I wouldn't utter in front of my grandmother. Of course, the second greatest PJ in chart history is offering a snapshot of a city at war. Such an evocative one, too, in which the word "fetid" makes a rare appearance in a pop single and "let it burn" most certainly isn't a nod to the 2004 chart-topper from Usher. It's all so startlingly effective.

Can't find any info. about this....and I'm thinking what's the B side? and it doesn't even mention if it's a 7" single or not which it must be (?)

Edit:
I found this http://news.qthemusic.com/2012/01/pj_harvey_-_written_on_the_for_1.html

Single to be released on 20th February...Tomorrow!

It's weird because I've seen on ebay the "On battleship Hill" promo cd.

Anyway I bought the double A side "let england shake - written on the forehead" promo cd a month ago. And there is a sticker with :
"Two of the most popular tracks from the album, "Let England Shake" and "Written On The Forehead", will be issued as Double A side single on Feb 20th."

It exists the same double A side promo cd with "the words..." and "The last living rose".
