I'm in a serious Goldfrapp period... Have their complete discography in my car and it's playing back to back, plus I went to see them live last monday, it was totally amazing! So good I'm probably going again in Brussels in november.
It's nothing like PJ, but I love it. And that girl Alison is also a bewitching goddess !!!

I just discovered that John Parish has worked with Goldfrapp on their Felt Mountain album. Coincidence?

Hi Aurora!
My favorite. It's also the last song they play on their gigs...
Bought my ticket to the Brussels gig btw (nov 23).

hey! it's been a while!

unfortunately, I've not seen them live - just one of those ones I've 'missed' each time (more's the pity!)

enjoy!

yeah often the polly-link gets me in to other things... JP worked with the Eels guy as well. They just toured here.

I haven't got much planned concert-wise lately....too much study to do.... QOTSA are coming for soundwave in feb tho. That's exciting :) (even tho I've seen them many times now)
Also Primus and... Iron Maiden! haha!

Maybe you're right, I listened to the album just a few times, but the song is looped at my playlist since yesterday ;)

Metric - Poster of a Girl :yeah:

-sidenote: I wish I could travel back in time to when I was 23 when I dismissed this band as boring. Oh how wrong I was!

Listening to Charlotte Gainsbourg's IRM. I've never heard her before so I'm just listening to the album the whole way through. It's nice to listen to, but will take a few more listens before I officially fuck it in the bin. None of the songs have stuck with me yet.

EDIT: Itakeitbackitakeitbackitakeitback!

Been listening to piano trios lately; Bill Evans, Tommy Flanagan, Kenny Barron, John Hicks....plus it's great background music when I'm reading.

Bill Hicks - The Essential Collection...and Laura Marling's album, 'I Speak Because I Can'; a great piece of work.
