So happy to read all of the positive reviews this album is getting! As far as the negative reviews, is it me or do they seem incredibly lazy? There seems to be no solid criticism from these critics, i.e. "I don't like it because it doesn't sound like (insert ROM, TBYML, ITD?, or UUH here)." It ...

I'm in love. There were a few moments where I found myself unable to breathe (particularly during parts of On Battleship Hill, England and The Colour of the Earth). A rather bizarre review in the New Yorker. Clearly someone who has not been able to move with Polly's ever-changing musical palette. Almost worth reading to try and guess at what this reviewer was hearing as opposed to the others who have been hearing such great things.

It was obtained in an online auction and I don't plan on playing it. This will be my centerpiece in a "to be constructed" Polly shrine. I have a wall mount on order.

I've been a follower of The Garden for years now, but my excitement about LES prompted me to become a proper member recently. With every song that comes out, the more "beside myself" I become. From what I've heard, I think LES will be my favorite thing Polly has done thus far. Wow.
