Re: The "What Are You Thinking?" Thread
I'm thinking, I'm glad to be back in the US again, I just hope the next 12 months pass by quickly so I can be free again. Peace out.

Re: The "What Are You Thinking?" Thread
I'm thinking, I hope we don't have to wait too long this evening. I am leaving Sharana, heading to BAF, then after a few days, it is off to Manus, then AK. I'm going home!!!!!

Just finished watching Akira Kurosawa's "High and Low." I am glad I brought this film with me to this place.

Re: The "What Are You Thinking?" Thread
I was originally supposed to fly home on the 21, now I will fly home on the 28 (Keep in mind that I will leave my current location before that date). Either way, the date can't come soon enough. But overall, it has been a good month, so far, and a good day. I made a little girl happy, she got her ...

Re: Upcoming Concerts/Shows
Ya'll are so lucky ya'll get to attend or at least have the opportunity to attend concerts. In my almost a year here, (Afgannyland) only Toby Keith came here, and I did not go since I am not a big fan of c/w music. Where I am stationed, AK, hardly anybody ever goes there. They made a big deal when ...

Re: Catcher in the Rye novelist JD Salinger dies at 91
I got an e-mail alert from the NY Times regarding this. Too bad to hear about his passing away, his book is a must read class for all, hell I read Catcher in the Rye years ago. But on another note, he had a long life. I can only wish that I can live this long. R.I.P. JD Salinger

Re: Last movie you watched?
Last movie I watched was a few days ago. It was a pirated but extremely good copy of "An Education". The Afghans have at times some good copies of films, at other times the copies are horrible. The copy of Men Who Stare at Goats, was horrible, bad picture, (someone just videoed it off the screen ...

Re: TV Series
Aside from an occasional novela, my favorite TV series was Battlestar Galactica, I had been watching it regularly whenever I could since day one. Unfortunately, I got deployed without being able to see the last four episodes of the series. I had to buy the last season just to see what finally ...

Re: The "What Are You Thinking?" Thread
I just want to say that I have 27 days and I'm outta here. I head back to AK, and yeah, Hell and High Water, I'll have internet access once I get back to AK, internet with no filtering at that. It will probably be cold there, but at least I can have hot showers on a consistent basis and have a drink ...

Re: The "What Are You Thinking?" Thread
So this is the "What are you thinking?" thread, I guess I'll say what I want to say. I want to go home, I really don't like this place I am at now, and I am not too crazy about the place I am going, but at least I won't have to worry about people trying to kill me there, I'll just have to worry ...
