I used to eyeball it and say “yeah, that’s full sun,” then wonder why my peppers sulked all summer. Looking back, I never actually timed the light. I just remembered it being bright in the afternoon.
This year I tracked the light in my yard for a few days and then used the sunlight requirement finder on Gardenvoila to match my sun hours to plant needs. The spot I called full sun was getting only about five hours because of the neighbor’s fence. I moved the tomatoes and they’re doing much better.
How do the rest of you track sun across the day? Phone photos every hour, a sketch, or something fancier? I’m also wondering how much the angle changes by late summer, since I suspect my spring numbers won’t hold.

OK, so I think the mods have slipped here in letting this one through!
On the other hand I think it is quite funny that the post is advertising a product for your "garden".
