Lockerbie case

Lookout, it's sau's serious corner!: I have been meaning to post Professor Robert Black's blog about the Lockerbie bomb case for a very long time. I thought I might post the link here in light of today's events in Libya.
Black helped set-up the trial of al-Megrahi. After the verdict he called it a travesty of justice. I was never convinced of al- Megrahi's guilt and after all these years I'm still not convinced! Even prison staff in Scotland, who came into contact with al-Megrahi, believed he was innocent.
A lot of pressure was put on al-Megrahi's legal team when they appealed the case. It looks like the authorities preferred to release on health grounds, rather than let the appeal go ahead when documents withheld by the prosecution would prove his innocence, or at least show the conviction was unsafe.
How many people know about the report of the gate to the baggage area - where luggage for Pan Am 103 was stored - at Heathrow airport being tampered with on the night of Pan Am 103's departure?
Lots of great things on Black's blog. Too many to list, just scroll down:
