And another festival.... :(

As someone put it on twitter I think: "Sure, the only thing I want after a concert is ANOTHER concert..."

I don't want anything before a PJ concert, or after. Not to mention coping with the crowd of people who did NOT come to see her and couldn't care less.

Please more standalone dates!

I do sound quite like the jaded guy don't I? ;)

I'm actually happy that she's adding more dates, but unhappy that I won't go because I hate festivals...

I'm in agreement with this & for those who differ i'd like to remind you of the Green Day fans who abused our Polly at some festival........ if i could remember where! :eyeroll:

Green Day fans abusive? Eh, kind of ironic considering that "true" punkers are abusive to Green Day. So silly.

(older) punks I know like PJ for her earlier stuff and deeply hate Green Day.

But I strongly suspect that Green Day "fans" at a festival have mostly been just average teenagers i.e. idiots...

Green Day = Punk?
Bless

Paradoxically I seem to go to more festivals the older I get, this one sounds good. Have my eye on the Glastonbury/End of the Road/Latitude announcements, think Polly has outgrown Reading hopefully.

^ Yeah, I know. It's been a long time since I followed them, but Green Day emerged from the east SF Bay punk scene. According to the Wiki "Green Day was widely credited, alongside fellow California punk bands The Offspring, Rancid, and NOFX, with popularizing and reviving mainstream interest in punk rock in the United States."

Their songwriting became too tuneful/commercial and they were reviled by "true punks" thereafter. These same people consider early PJ to be the genuine article I'm sure, I wonder what they think of her now?

'Don't talk to me about these phonies' as Siouxsie might say
I just found them all annoying as they seemed to undo all the good work done by Grunge, a bit like many new wave bands did after punk in the '80s

I know some people are stuck in a genre, a bit like supporting the same football team. I can understand younger people wanting the Polly of old as they missed out, but it's good to evolve with the artists (can think of many exceptions to this however!).
