I finally got hooked on Polly’s music very suddenly, late one night in May 2005.
that was in the period of hiatus between Uh Huh Her and White Chalk, when it was rumored that Polly had retired from the music business and would not perform live anymore. so it made me desperately sad to think that I had missed all the good times and that I would never get the chance to see her live

Funny, that's exactly the same moment (not sure about the late may night though....) that I fell in love with Polly's music and was equally desperate that I would possibly never see her live ever... Which to the relief of everyone proved wrong :)

Can I add the time I ran into John Parrish in the loo?

1995-09-28 - The Warfield, San Francisco. Period. Still one of the best shows I have ever seen in my life. She was so hot she ran out and took requests at a local bar - but I was not there.

1998-10-22, - The Warfield, San Francisco - Good show, wrong companion. He complained the whole time.

2004-08-20, - The Catalyst, Santa Cruz - Bonus - I got in for the soundcheck - Eye contact!

2009-03-23 - El Rey Theatre, Los Angeles - The closest I've been to her. If she had just fallen forward...

2009-06-19 - The Warfield - Farther back, but better sound.
