I've just finished listening to the album. It's a weird thing, really. Some tracks are better than others, but i do agree they all sound anonymous. Polly's major and provable contribution apparentely was talking in a couple of tracks ( title not known and incomplete and the Abider ) and humming in ...

The first time i saw those pics i couldn't believe my eyes! had to blink and look at them again multiple times to make sure it wasn't a hallucination... she does look good, but i would argue she would look good even with pink or blue hair!

I've always preferred darker hair- maybe a bit of a ...

Can someone upload the full album again? I love putty and am so curious about the rest

Hey Jujurose, apologies for the delay, as always i've read your post when i was indisposed and then i forgot about it... :eyeroll:

I would normally be very careful about uploading a full album, but since it ...

As i said a while ago, personally i've always interpreted The Garden as a quasi-biblical story about the Devil seducing a man (who could be meant to rapresent Humanity in its totality). I'm quite fond of your interpretation, but, again, unfortunately (or maybe fortunately?) PJ's is so cryptic that ...

James, thank you very much for doing an in-depth research on ITD. We have a serious book made by someone who actually cares about PJ's work at last! it was a truly interesting read, one can clearly see you really put some work into it.

If i had to point out a weaker point (which doesn't bring down ...

Hey Jimm, that's a wonderful painting, great job!

I've listened to it 7 or 8 times now... at first i've thought of it as a very solid piece with a fricking banger of a last minute; the more i listen to it, though, the more it grows on me, it's just good! The futuristic echoes at 0:23 gave me strong "Everything in its right place" by Radiohead vibes ...

I'm not into Astrophysics, but i reverse-searched the image and googled for a little bit to find out what we are actually looking at, unfortunately without any definitive answer; It could be a nebula (maybe the Rosette Nebula?), it does look like one; alternatively it could be a planet (Mars or ...

Hello everyone,

I just found out about the live tour of Dance Hall at Louse Point with Mark Bruce Dance Company , but cannot find any images of that... I already have collected some bootlegs (audio only) but cannot find footage nor photos...

Note : I'm relatively new to this forum, so sorry if ...

Well, the mistery has been solved then! It was really generous of Polly to give him basically total freedom over her own song. It would be great if the original version will be included in a new "b-sides,demos and rarities" album, wouldn't it?
Thank you for sharing.

Ok! I found and installed the logo, for this style anyway. I think we had a couple of different styles, these are independently created and then the admin has to install them. I don't remember all the ones we had, this default style is not the one I used. I'm looking at other styles, and I'd like ...

As stated by PJ's official Facebook account, yesterday was the 10th anniversary since the release of THSDP. I have a bit of mixed feelings about this album, 'cause it is for sure my least favourite PJ Harvey album... it simply wasn't a worthy successor to LES both musically and lyrically. Yet i don ...

It's a trend I've seen many major artists and songwriters have been going through over the past years. It is possible their contracts have expired and there's this collective tendency to leave major labels, which seem in fact more keen on promoting pop acts and less alternative artists/bands. Look ...
