Tour set list?

So what do we think? Will the set list be similar to the private show she did? I think it will. And "Down By The Water" will probably continue to be the added encore.

Without checking historical reference?... lol

I'm betting it's quite a bit different with a full band. (Did she really play Meet Ze Monsta here?) She might play DBTW, but personally I never liked the autoharp version that much, I'd prefer to keep the memory of other versions.

She mentioned in a recent interview that ITD? and TBYML's narratives worked with that of the new record. So I think it's safe to say that set list (or a small variation of it) is here to stay.

My guess is we'll see something very similar to that setlist at Eype shown in Howard's post above. Look at the first warmup gig for the 2009 AWAMWB tour in Bridport:

2009-03-12 - BRIDPORT ARTS CENTRE (PJ HARVEY & JOHN PARISH) - BRIDPORT, DORSET, U.K.
Set List- Black Hearted Love / Sixteen, Fifteen, Fourteen / Rope Bridge Crossing / Urn With Dead Flowers In A Drained Pool / Civil War Correspondent / The Soldier / Taut / Un Cercle Autour Du Soleil / The Chair / Leaving California / A Woman A Man Walked By->The Crow Knows Where All The Little Children Go / Passionless, Pointless / Cracks In The Canvas / Pig Will Not. Encore- False Fire / April.

I'm pretty sure this exact same setlist was used throughout the entire tour for all stage performances. Here's the last one in San Diego:

2009-06-21 - HUMPHREY'S CONCERTS BY THE BAY (PJ HARVEY & JOHN PARISH) - SAN DIEGO, CA, U.S.A.

^ :o
To be a little optimistic though, she has A LOT more songs to consider on this tour, rather than one past album.

Wouldn't Ballad of the Soldiers Wife be a scoop?! Or would it be too heavy compared to the general up-beat feel of the album?
I love her version of it, though!

Well, to be honest, I think the set list she did at the private show is awesome. I'd obviously like a few older tunes thrown in there, but if she plays the entire LES, that's pretty cool. Obviously, touring is for promotion of a new record.

I would love her to have "Man-Size", "Rid of Me", "Electric Light", and "Snake" as staples. Those were absolutely incredible on the last tour. OK, if nothing else...just "Snake". When she did that in New York a few years ago, I felt the song rumble through my whole body. One of the best moments at a concert...ever.

I guess The Soldier would be a good fit for this era.

i hadn't been aware of the private show setlist, and i'm pleasantly surprised to see 'The Sky Lit Up' there and specially 'The River'. the biggest surprise yesterday though was knowing that she played 'Meet Ze Monsta', and i couldn't watch it because i had problems with my connection right when the encore was about to start. i hope someone uploads it.

and what about 'The Pocket Knife'? i think it has the tribal-folk feel of songs like 'The Words That Maketh Murder'

So now that the Paris show is finished and the set was similar (minus several songs), I am almost positive she'll be going with this set for her shows. And I think I'm OK with that! Like I said before, I'd like to see some of the power tunes ("Rid of Me", "Snake") appear, but either way I know I'll love the show to death.

I think she'll add 5-6 songs in the main part of the show and play 2-3 songs as an encore (like the private gig)

Set list yesterday in Brussels was pretty similar as on 14/2. I don't remember exactly all songs, but she definitely started with Let England Shake.
There was only one encore; Silence. She didn't played Meet ze Monsta. The Devil was somewhere in the middle of the show.
Down by the water and C'mon Billy followed each other in the last part of the show.
