PJ to receive Outstanding contribution to music Award

The singer-songwriter legend will be presented with the Teenage Cancer Trust Outstanding Contribution To Music Award at the event. It takes place on February 23 at the O2 Academy Brixton.
Harvey will also perform live at the event.
"It seems like a long relationship now because it's been over 20 years," she said about her history with NME. "But I'm really glad people are still interested in what I'm doing and are still finding it important!"
Elbow, Love's Arthur Lee and The Specials are among those who have received the award in the past.
NME Editor Krissi Murison said: "From the sheer rawness of her 1992 debut album 'Dry' to the compelling honesty of her new album 'Let England Shake', which tackles war and global conflict, Harvey has always remained uncompromising and individual in her approach to music."
She added: "But despite her willingness to experiment and push herself to artistic extremes, PJ Harvey is no fringe act. She has played to giant crowds at the world's leading festivals, received praise from many music legends and won a Mercury Prize for a million-selling album.
"In short PJ Harvey is a true artist, able to challenge and entertain, provoke and thrill. Her contribution to music is unique and unrivalled and NME is proud to pay tribute to her with this special award."
