Hi all pj-lovers I am new to this forum and I thought I should introduce myself properly instead of just sneaking around...

My name is sara and I´m 18 years old and live in sweden. My interest in (good) music began four years ago as I discovered Placebo(huge placebo-fan hehe) and as I listened to their music and read interwievs with them I noticed how they often mentioned this PJ Harvey as one of their biggest influences. So I thought I should check her out, and searched her name on youtube. I think the first Pollyvideo I ever watched was "down by the water" on jools holland 1995 and that was the beginning. The makeup, the look, the SONG and the performance. It was just soo cool! I still find the TBYML era is the most fascinating era. , even though I of course love all of them.

Welcome Sara. Good to have a fellow cebo fan, in my experience gardeners aren't very fond of them. So if they start calling them names in the darkest corners of The Garden just let me know and I'll kick everyone out

I'll steal this thread for my own introduction if I may...
I'm 22, from Germany, like lots of music and PJ is my favourite female artist of all times. I love how she re-invents herself with every new album. "White Chalk", "Is This Desire?" and "Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea" are my favourite albums by her, all-time-faves even.
My nickname in real life is JJ but since "JJ Harvey" was a little too obvious I thought I'd go with my fave "Rid Of Me" song

PJ's unpredictability is kind of a litmus test for her fans, some only like a couple of her albums, but it takes a certain type of fan to appreciate (if not be enthused by) all of her albums. When someone said that her next album will be like nothing else, my response is,
