Is this true? I find it hard to believe - I didn't think that Polly had ever hit the one-million mark. 600,000 I would believe. Since its wikipedia, I doubt it's accurate.

Well, I believe it's true. According to Billboard, Stories has sold 299,000 copies ONLY in the US. The world is pretty big, Maybe she has sold much more in UK than US, I think it's possible.

I can believe it, there are big markets outside the USA and UK, and she's a genuine international artist.

Some more stats - although the album hasn't registered Gold in the USA (500,00 sales - RIAA), it has gone Gold in the UK (100,000 sales - BPI).

I think it's more likely to be true & about time, she deserves it!

All hail PJ, and behold her awesomeness. She deserves that amount of success, so lets hope the same for the next album, even though it won't be as accessible as stories. I dunno, we can't really say for sure yet.

She should be really proud of Stories. She accomplished what she set out to do.
