I am only a casual fan of both people, but I felt compelled to post this, even though it was posted a year ago, and it's possible a lot of you have seen it.

PJ Harvey seems to have been an influence on her. A lot of Polly's live performances during TBYML remind me of Dark Cabaret.

She's also covered "Rid of Me."

Also, nice gif!

Yeah, I stole the gif on last.fm, shame on me :P

Amanda mentions PJ in her blogs sometimes... This is cool:

^Oh yeah, I forgot about that. The first time someone mentioned Amanda Palmer, I google image searched, and got that.

Wait, do they know eachother? I mean, she's married to Neil Gaiman, who's friends with Tori Amos, who's friends with PJ Harvey, soooo...

^ Haha I make such celebrity connections all the time LOL. Amanda has met Tori Amos via Gaiman many times, she wrote about that on her blog, so it's possible. Now that Tori lives in England I can't see why she and Polly wouldn't meet on a occasion. But I don't know really.

Have you listened to her album Who Killed Amanda Palmer (Twink Peaks reference everyone!), it's genre is comedy/heartbreak

I haven't listened to anything by her, other than that song. I'm very behind on current music. I should probably catch up soon. I'm, like, missing out on my own generation... or something...
