I know about them and I'm always meaning to check them out.

I do know that I didn't get tickets to their upcoming show.

But this came up, I thought some of you might find it interesting...

ohhhhhh great!! * - *
she's kinda flying higher and higher, wow thats promising
st. vincent is like my brightest diamond, is just a woman responsible for the whole creation and a support band, btw shes kinda MBD but pretty more popish. annie's second album is great, made a little fuzz last year, that expains byrne working with her.

She's a pedal nerd:

as well as quite a guitarist:

Remember Tuck & Patti, she's Tuck Andress's niece:

Imagine if PJ's site was like Annie's:

I'm so in love with St. Vincent. Her music is just so gorgeous and lush, as is her voice. She's not bad looking either ;)

See her live if you can. She's an absolutely amazing performer. She definitely gives you your moneys worth, that's for damn sure.

Just now had time to listen to this.
I used to be able to play Dig a Pony. Sort of. It's tricky.

I'm downloading a show from last Feb. at the El Rey, I'll let you know what it's like.

I believe Ronnie Wood has jammed with her for a couple of shows.

I've listen to her few month ago for a first time, and it was like "hm... nice. maybe some polly now?" xD And yesterday I came across "The Bed" and "Your Lips Are Red" just after that... Awesome! Listen to those over and over. So magical, chaotic... Just love it :)

I'll have to be Debarra Downer. I did see her live recently and I was not impressed. It really sounded like knock-off Feist (?) I hate to be like that but I was bored throughout her whole set. She also had no stage presence whatsoever. Stood in the same head-down position for an hour. Moved her knee some. I yawned twice. On the plus side, her voice was occasionally pretty. Live, I couldn't pair her string section with her. They kept playing very loudly and sometimes it was beautiful but it never paired up with her in a way that interested me. It just seemed like a "side of noise". Maybe I didn't get it.

I quite like her track on Byrne's Here Lies Love, so I'm hoping for the best.

I thought she sounded like Feist when I started listening to her. Just a much better version.

Aww, maybe she was tired or having a bad day? lol.

For me Feist is actually hit or miss. She doesn't grab my attention as much as St Vincent does, but as they say, to each their own
