Interesting! There's no way she's playing a two-hour two-part set at a festival so they are surely planning to adapt the show to bigger/outdoor settings and limited timeslots.

The event listing has been removed from O2 Priority now - someone messed up I think! But it seems possible it’s something she’ll do - I saw Boygenius at Gunnersbury Park as part of their summer music season and it’s a lovely place for an outdoor show - big enough but not absolutely massive, very pretty park and it’s more like a headline show with support acts rather than a festival, so Polly would have more control over the setup than she would as part of a big, multi-act festival. Hopefully there will be an official announcement of it soon…

PJ Harvey announces her only London summer performance of 2024 at Gunnersbury Park, a Grade II listed parkland venue within walking distance of Acton Town and Ealing Broadway, on Sunday 18th August 2024.

PJ Harvey says, "I'm grateful to Gunnersbury Park for inviting me to curate this event. I have chosen what I feel to be some of the most exciting artists working today. With them I hope to be able to give the audience an emotional, heartening and uplifting experience."

The line-up includes special guests Big Thief, Tirzah, and Shida Shahabi.

The PJ Harvey mailing list community will have first access to an exclusive pre-sale, from 9am BST on Wednesday 25th October, with a limited number of VIP tickets available. All remaining tickets will go on general sale this Friday 27th October at 9am BST.

While this event may be easily accessible only to fans based in the UK, as mailing list community members you will always be kept informed. If you would like to receive an email reminder ahead of the pre-sale opening on Wednesday 25th October at 9am BST

Big Thief are fantastic.

Their singer Adrianne Lenker is someone i really admire.
