Great gig - thought the White Chalk material played really well in the acoustics of the Playhouse. Good to hear Shame, and, for me, first time I've heard Highway 61 Revisited get a live outing!
Downside? People insisting in trying to film the performance through their mobile phones! The woman in Circle seats, around D6, was particularly annoying (and out of my reach for a shoulder tap). The bright screen distracts, and the reality is that most of the time the results are dire. And I don't see the value in going to a gig only to look at a phone!

I assume they played all the same songs as in NYC, but since it was without a choir, in a bit more orthodox order. Here's a
SUPPOSED setlist:
derbyshirepaul, could you verify it (or help to make it right)?

Looks good to me, Kuk91!
I'd just add that I thought she was in fine voice, especially after the audience warmed up a bit. The three White Chalk tracks worked very well together, and I am still loving this tour's take on TBYML. Just happen to be listening to the 2006 NY Supper Club show that I was at, and remembering the newness of the White Chalk material. Also interesting to hear a show where she interacted so much with the crowd, as opposed to this tour and the LES one. Very different shows, of course, and I'm not complaining!

At the Brixton Academy in October my partner was incredulous that so many people wanted to take photographs of an empty stage. 'Oh look, there's a bit of dry ice!' My astonishment was reserved more for the bewildering number of people who seemed unable to go for an hour and fifteen minutes without visiting the toilet, or the bar, or, given the close connection between these two activities, both. One woman I'm sure squeezed past us four times. I thought, This is 75 minutes, that's all, 75 minutes you've paid 45 of the Queen's pounds sterling for and that you've probably had months to get ready for. Can you really not get through that without a pee or a beer? Of course the performance in question happens to be by one of the most charismatic and moving artists on God's good earth, but the point would stand were it just Ed bloody Sheeran.

Mind you, had it not been for a shaky amateur film there would have been no record of my favourite song ...

Even I felt a little bit sorry for Geoffrey by the end. Only a little, though.

"...full-blooded version of Bob Dylan’s Highway 61 Revisited, the latter playing into the themes of death, religion and sacrifice.
When Harvey first covered the song in 1992, it was a homage to an idol. Now, at the climax of a remarkable night, she performs it as a peer."

It’s now 25 years since PJ Harvey released her debut album, Dry. It was clear that she was one of a kind then – and tonight’s performance demonstrated that they broke the mould thereafter.
