John Peel "peelplayer"
http://peelplayer.com/#!/2004/23" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Plays every track from his festive fifty's. http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/johnpeel/festive50s/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Very basic layout, but great resource of music.

I was there for hours on my first visit, now I just play it in random mode, when I need it. I was originally looking for a web radio that suited me, but none out there fits, either too mainstream or "classic rock" type. Even last.fm seems to need too much attention to get the best out of it and all I want to do is either relax or get on with some work and listen to some decent music :bang:

John was a legend, I miss his show. I am still looking for a present day equivalent. The BBC link is interesting too, full detail of the festive 50's, quotes and photo's etc.

Great resource. The festive fifty still exists, by the way - at http://www.dandelionradio.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Voting open till the end of November. Also about as far away from mainstream or classic rock radio as you can get - check it out.

Cheers markw, I did find Dandelion Radio the same week as the peelplayer, and its been my resident "wallpaper" music since. I am more than happy with Dandelion at the moment and have voted a few days ago in the festive 50. It would not be too hard to guess who I voted for :)
