Help needed with influences of Let England Shake

Hi all,
I wondered if anyone can help me;
I have greatly enjoyed listening to PJ Harveys latest album Let England Shake for a while now. But I intrigued as to what influenced the lyrics of the album. Indeed to me I would go so far as to say that it is some what of a concept album. The songs on the album seem to have the common theme of 'Olde England' and World War I. Can any uber fans tell me if Harvey watched or read specific materials in consideration of the albums lyrics? e.g. did she watch any specific war documentaries? read interviews? poems etc

many thanks

There's a lot, but I don't have specific titles off the top of my head. WWI is a good place to start, and specifically the battle for Gallipoli. There's a great movie about that in fact. We've talked about parts of this before, you might check the thread on lyrical reference in "Your Beautiful Pen."

There are other threads about specific songs too.

And welcome! :)
