At approximately 51:40 this poster showed up in Joni's room.

I was watching that (shitty) movie and wondered the same thing. Didn't even remember Leisha Hailey's (shitty) band.

Well, Mark Ruffalo's character WAS a Joni Mitchell fan. Can he be all that bad? I don't understand the negative response by lesbians. Don't worry, we straight males understand you don't all watch gay male porn, based on a single movie.

There's nothing particularly "bad" about Mark Ruffalo (or his character for that matter - in fact there was nothing good about him either, what the hell did she see in him anyway?), it's about putting things in a cultural and social context where every story that is supposed to be about someone like you is turned into a story about some dude who's gonna change who you are just because he's the owner of an Almighty Cock (think Julianne's character's reaction when she sees one). For a movie that is being touted as a such a great representation of lesbians that just doesn't sit right.

If you can't grasp that (no, I'm not asking you to like or agree with it), then all I can say to you is come back when you live an entire life having your sexuality delegitimized. Maybe then you will understand.
