Good news for our Italian friends, a rather suprising location though, no?

I wonder if she'll tour some more in autumn. I 'd love to see her again in a few months (I know, should have bought a ticket for Amsterdam as well), but I'm not too keen on the festival gigs.
Maybe All Tomorrow's Parties would be ok, but I'm a bit afraid about the accoustics over there (I read they are rather tricky)

one of those small/medium-size cities in the north of Italy, truly the nicest ones (though I've never been to Ferrara, but once to Modena which is rather close).

and such an outdoor gig in the public square, the mere thought of it makes my blood run quicker. pensandoci pure, la musica sulla piazza nell'aria aperta sotto il cielo estivo di una notte calda italiana! mi viene la voglia di andarci per veder/sentire l'amata Polly.

all I need is for her to announce at least one more show in Italy within a couple of days before or after the Ferrara gig, then it will be worth my while to make the journey. now she's already booked for that festival in Arras on July 3rd, which leaves two days between that show and the one in Ferrara. and she did mention that she was thinking of doing a gig in Milan, didn't she? so may we hope for one in Milan on July 4th or 5th?

actually I was hoping that too and I guess that
Festival di Villa Arconati is the best choice, in terms of another open air venue,
and is near by Milano...but every place will be fine for me

last year it had tori amos, devendra banhart and os mutantes...caetano veloso..pretty cool festival for unconventional artists
and is just behind my parent's home, so.. it will be so awesome

it's a promotional turn of phrase (aiming to attract people desperate to attend the one and only show available, so far).

this website doesn't seem to indicate any precise dates. do you have any other source of knowledge about this festival which makes you think it could be July 4th-5th?

(I wouldn't mind if it came after the Ferrara gig, though, as long as it's close enough in time.)

doesn't matter, there are plenty of venues in Milan where she might perform anyhow (though it was an obvious thought that she might have chosen another festival).

anche io ho pensato la stessa cosa..... and I hope for a second show too. Milan could be great, but there are better places in Italy where she could perform this show... a city near the sea...
