Katy Perry and Robyn...
Robyn: Did you see PJ Harvey?
Perry: I didn’t see PJ Harvey. But I love her.
Robyn: It was awesome. She was so fantastic, and I love the new album. I had never really listened to her before, but I really loved her.

Adrian Utley of Portishead on thefourohfive.com's interview:
"Who are you looking forward to seeing at your ATP then?"
"Adrian: Grinderman. Polly Harvey she's a friend, I've seen her loads of time, but still."
Geoff Barrow on Twitter after seeing PJ live at Werchter Festival July 2nd:
"Pj Harvey & band are fuking brilliant !!"
And on July 13th:
"Having seen pj and grinderman in the last week // ATP is going to be fuk off good..."
July 19th:
"If the mercury winner was about song writing/production/inventiveness there would only be one winner Polly Harvey by miles!!"
Utley in The Observer's interview 17th July:
"If someone says we're going to put on a festival and you can have whoever you want, and then you think: 'Shall we get Grinderman and PJ Harvey?' How brilliant is that! I made myself deaf listening to the Polly Harvey record recently. I listened to it twice full knacker in the car and nearly deafened myself."
Barrow in the Crack Magazine:
"Polly Harvey has probably made the best British album for many years with Let England Shake. That should really be rated. You don't fuck with Polly Harvey. If people want to get grimy and dirty with her past and her gigs and what she's done over the years, she's been there man! She hasn't gone to manufactured stage school or played Radio One's Big Weekend. But you have this new crop of people who sell records all straight out of stage school. No! No!"

Prince Miiaou (French singer - female despite the name)
"Sa culture musicale et ses influences ne sont pas une liste sans fin de noms qu’il faut citer parce que ça fait bien dans une bio et que c’est ce qu’on attend d’elle. Non, seule une poignée d’artistes qui la touchent profondément a l’honneur d’y figurer.
Mogwai, Higelin, PJ Harvey, Xiu Xiu, Arcade Fire, Animal Collective, The Cinematic Orchestra, Encre, Radiohead et Chokebore."

Hi,
I'm hoping you can tell me where this quote is from? I'm an avid collector of all things Nick and Polly, and this is the only quote that I don't have form your list, and that I can't place.
Thanks.

It was in a magazine article around late 98 maybe early 99. The article used to be on a bad seeds site called 'king ink' in their article archive. Don't think the website exists anymore.

Carole Pope(new wave band - rough trade) "I really liked K.d. lang's new album, also the new PJ Harvey, can't wait for the new Bjork"
Tim(Ash): Said LES was by far the stand-out album of the mercury nominees and that he hoped PJ wins.
Anna Calvi's said some complimentary things about her recently too, I'm too lazy to dig up those articles though. haha
Courtney Love(on twitter a few days ago) "Songs that define my life" - "Patti Smith - Rock N Roll Nigger and PJ Harvey - Rid of Me"

Cheers. I really like the way Barrow rolls up his sleeves on that last quote defending her. She doesn't really need it but still i'm impressed being a fan of both of them.

Kanye West is a fan:
"West's confidence--his detractors would call it cockiness--has its limits, however. He admires good work, even music outside his presumed area of expertise. In recent months, he's become addicted to PJ Harvey" (04)
Juliette Lewis on Twitter:
"Of all us wild lasses, PJ Harvey is definitely the queen"
