^ Right you are. Does she even sing on that track? I'm familiar with the usual ones, like I Wanna Make It Wit chu, Crawl Home, There Will Never Be A Better Time etc.

Cracks In the Canvas: 10622519
Dead In Love: 11498193
England: 11652442

So a song's numerical position in the list isn't always a good indicator of the date it was written.

Also, it's odd that there doesn't seem to be any of the other Desert Sessions 9&10 tracks in the BMI list. Crawl Home isn't there. I wonder if for some reason Dead In Love was registered with BMI relatively recently.

maybe she gave her contribution to write the lyrics for Dead in Love, but not for the other on the album...

That would be very odd if she didn't contribute lyrics to the tracks she does sing on (Crawl Home, I Want to Make It Wit Chu etc.) . There was even an official video for Crawl Home, which ironically was linked to on PJ's official facebook page just yesterday. http://www.facebook.com/PJHarvey

And a good one too... You don't want to fight with PJ in a car. Or anywhere.

Polly doesn't sing on it but she plays Piano & "Creepy" Tenor Sax

Dead In Love is registered to four players from the 9/10 sessions.

Songwriter/Composer
CASTILLO JOSEPH WILLIAM BMI 239689512
HARVEY POLLY JEAN PRS 162440888
HOMME JOSH BMI 233361987
JOHANNES ALAIN ASCAP 135490871

Publishers
BOARDSTIFF MUSIC INC BMI 609352157
MORE KICK AND SNARE MUSIC BMI 472254949
WARNER-TAMERLANE PUBLISHING CORP BMI 185314175

The only others I see are "Subcutancous Phat" & "Bring It Back Gentle" It is kind of odd that the rest aren't listed except "Make It Wit Chu" and that would have been registered pre-Desert Sessions.

Tried a different approach DrDark and searched ASCAP
Voila....the rest (or most) of the DS songs.

Works performed by: Desert Sessions

1. A GIRL LIKE ME
(Work ID: 311142331)
2. BRING IT BACK GENTLE
(Work ID: 321140092)
3. HOLEY DIME
(Work ID: 380868151)
4. IN MY HEAD...OR SOMETHING
(Work ID: 391309912)
5. POWDERED WIG MACHINE
(Work ID: 460953737)
6. SHEPHERD'S PIE
(Work ID: 492237933)
7. THERE WILL NEVER BE A BETTER TIME
(Work ID: 501594118)

Polly Jean's List is here

Much shorter list than BMI's. I haven't cross referenced to see if any other songs are unique to this list.

I would really REALLY like her to work on "Dead Things On The Road Again"

^ Interesting! What the heck is "PRS" (affiliation)?

I remember we also had links on the old board for Polly's list in EMI (?) and possibly ASCAP, but they appear to have gotten lost. I've added the ASCAP link for her to the top post of the PJ sites thread. Does anybody have a link to the EMI list? I remember this came from an old atforumz post.

Edit: PRS seems to be:

^ That's them, we have SOCAN in Canada.

"As a collective for the performing rights of our members - the creators and publishers of music - we make sure they get paid for the public performance and communication to the public of their music. We do that by collecting licence fees, as set by the Copyright Board of Canada, from anyone playing or broadcasting live or recorded music."

I don't think that's the album title. Pretty sure they're referring to http://www.twentyfourbit.com/, another music site which has reported recent PJ updates.

It never was mentionned, even if PJ said it a long time ago but we didn't have any confirmation, but it seems that, with John Parish and Mick Harvey, Flood also produced the album. Information here: http://www.140db.co.uk/?page_id=13 "Having recently produced another PJ HARVEY album" + "Flood’s CV: PJ Harvey Producer Forthcoming Album". It's an excellent news because, IMO, he's the best producer she ever had ("To Bring You My Love", "Is This Desire", "White Chalk" -> her most unique, experimental and original albums)

Just saw that too, new menu page. Maybe an album release date and/or more tour dates?

The artwork is very nice.

It really looks like a PJ drawing...

I bet on an album release date like 21th or 28th of February.
