This was posted on the Goodson site, hope its ok to cut & paste it here with acknowledgment. To think I decided not to go & see Nick as I'm not that inspired by what he's doing at the moment!! would love to have seen thisx
"It was a very pleasant surprise for us that it was less reading and "minimal" music but rather a typical "solo" set with Nick, Warren, and Martyn. The audience was invited to ask questions. Somebody asked what interested me most: What did Kylie Minogue and Avril Lavigne think of it? Nick said "Kylie's a friend. It will be ok with Kylie. I don't know about Avril. I don't know Avril."

) A girl asked what Nick would do if PJ Harvey was in the audience (she was) and with the enthusiastic support of the audience she was convinced to come to the stage and sing "Henry Lee" with Nick. Very beautiful, very kind of her, and nice to see how Nick was a bit embarassed that we more or less forced her from the audience to the stage.
Since there was no drummer, Warren had to take the duty during Tupelo which was quite nice, and in "Grinderman", he brought his unconventional style to perfection when he treated the cymbals with his pair of Maracas -- another great moment in the show! (And, btw., thanks, Warren, for always supporting my request for Lucy!

)
All in all not as wild and energetic as a Bad Seeds show, but nevertheless another fine evening with Nick and his music, hope many of you will take the opportunity to go to one of the shows, too,
best,
Arne"
