http://www.rollingstone.it/uncategorized/pj-harvey-in-italia-ad-aprile-per-due-reading/2016-03-29/

PJ Harvey in Italy in April for two readings: 15 at the Salone del Minor of Palazzo Ducale in Genoa (anticipates the international poetry festival to be held June 10 to 19) and 16 at the Culture House in Milan. Have not yet been announced by us of concert dates for the English artist who will present elsewhere (the tour starts at the Primavera Sound in Barcelona on June 4) her new album The Hope Six Demolition Project, expected for April 15, but it is however the good news for fans.

The Harvey will read excerpts from "The Hollow of the Hand", the collection of her poems accompanied by photos of Seamus Murphy (Bloomsbury Circus), the result of a series of trips between Kosovo, Afghanistan and Washington DC.

Thanks Kuk, I've read about it this morning, while I was at work
Now, I've wrote to Casa della Cultura di Milano, where I live, but didn't answered yet. On their web site there's no info
It's pretty beautiful :) that she'll be in my Country on the day the album Hope Six will be realised, but a little uncomfortable with no gigs on the horizon in my city

p.s.: sorry, IT Is true and I've just sent my request to be there. She'll be here!

and I would add:
she's not in Genova for a random festival
she's there for 2001 G8 Carlo Giuliani https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Carlo_Giuliani
she's working on a new record

Yay!!! Booked!

now I try to tell what's my guess (or I fantasy)
I think she's already working at new material, 'cause I don't think it's casual thing that she'll be in Italy soon.
Genova is city where Carlo Giuliani where shot to death by a carabiniere hand in 2001, in the street, during demonstrations against G8. the following night, police officers made a Raid in a school where innocent people, protesters against globalization were asleep. They where beaten and terribly injured. reporters made possible to see everything in tv, for all. documentaries and movie has been made, but those responsible have never paid, indeed, have been promoted career. such a Shame
I think this shameful story has some link with her late researches, guessed she wanted to see, smell the air, see the street 'cause want to write something about it.
I remember those police officers running and beating unarmed people, cant forget. Now I see it in my head like the Two headed dog against the goat, unhappily

edit:
we have corrupt governors in every Ministry, and strategic position in mar Mediterraneo, waves of migrants in Italy started long time ago. During summer 4000 people per day arrives from the sea

edit: trying to better articulate my previous post. Thanks

She did the same thing when LES was released and she went to Kosovo with her motif unbeknownst to us. You might be on to something, Black Hearted Love.
I feel like the intention of the project was a trilogy. I kind of remember her hinting at that.

"LES" was released in February, and she went to Kosovo in August - there's now it's 1,5 months BEFORE the tour. Since she's always trying to do things differently, maybe she wants to write the new(est) songs "on the road" this time?

That is true. First - England, then - aftermath of conflicts and segregation around the world, and now about how the governments of self-proclaimed civilized countries treat their own citizens? Seems logical to me.

I would totally support this idea. In my opinion, if she pulls that off it would be the most impressive thing in her career thus far. Slay me, Polly.

Just a little thing I've noticed: the book itself (at least the hardback edition) was printed and bound in Italy.

Polly opens the International Literature Festival in Utrecht, Holland on April 22nd.

Apparently, that's a start of promised "small poetry tour".
