That's probably the best PJ Harvey interview I've read. I'm surprised about how open she was, especially the part about the emotional breakdown she had because of the interview questions. I couldn't imagine an interviewer coming up to me and asking questions like that. It's an inappropriate and vulgar invasion of privacy.

That IS an amazingly candid interview compared to most interviews with her! You can use your browser's zoom tool to zoom in on the text. The last couple of paragraphs are still pretty fuzzy though.

I didn't realize there was such a falling out with Rob Ellis back in the day. Glad they patched it up. I just hope she still talks to him, he really IS the best percussionist she's ever worked with.
