Hello, So far this is the basic version I've worked out for The Last Living Rose on guitar. Hopefully somebody who is more musical can use this as a template and improve upon it! It's a bit dodgy in places, but its ok for strumming along (and/or wailing along ![]() The Last Living Rose [Capo on 5th fret] Standard tuning Chords used: Em: 022xxx G5: 32xxxx C: x32010 D: xx0232 Verse: Em, G5, C, G5 Up until the ‘fog rolling down behind the mountains’ bit : C G5 C G5 At the end of the word ‘captains’ back to Em G5 C G5 Again at the ‘past the Thames River glistening like gold’ play C G5 C G5 Up to ‘hastily sold’ at which point continuously strum C On the first ‘nothing’ continuously strum D until after she shouts second ‘Nothing!’ Straight back to Em, G5, C, G5 x 4 For the bridge: D, C, G5 Let me watch night fall on the river D, C, G5 The moon rise up and turn us silver D, C, G5 The sky move, the ocean shimmer D, C (stay on C...) The hedge shake The last living rose Em, G5, C, G5 (to the end) Quiver I haven't worked out the notes being played over the chords at the end, but I may add them if I can. Or as I said, some virtuoso can feel free to sweep in and correct this version! |

Hmmm I usually figure out and play chords as if I were a folky nerd but I'll try to do that for you ![]() e|--------------------------------------------------| B|--------------------------------------------------| G|--7-----------------------------------------------| D|----10-9-10-9-7----------------------------------| A|-----------------10-7-8-7------------------------| E|---------------------------10-12-10-8-8----------| I think those are the notes. Sometimes you have to repeat some of them in groups of two but the rhythm is easy to learn. |

Thank you for this tab! This is such a fun song to play along to, it may be my favorite on the whole album. I am horrendous at figuring out chords by ear so this is very helpful. I think, just based on watching videos of Polly playing it, that the C is a C/G throughout. |
