This is the best version of "August" i found, you can enjoy PJ's finger picking:

the uploader did an amazing job with all his recordings, so check them out!

Yes!! This video was recorded by a fantastic guy called Yatin, who I met at the front of the queue for both Roundhouse shows. He’s an absolute legend and his YouTube channel is The Front Row, where he uploads live vids from gigs he’s recorded. Across the two nights he managed to get excellent 4k videos of the whole show (excluding Colour Of The Earth, which doesn’t feature PJ) - they are really great and about as good as a fan recording could be. He hasn’t made a playlist of them all in order but my wife did so here’s the link to watch the full set in order (she added her own recording of Colour of the Earth to make it complete):

It was, hopefully she never follows Dylan and bans cameras at gigs or we would never see these rarities.

TBH part of me is #TeamDylan on this issue because I think that people holding up their phones for the whole duration of a show can be super distracting for other concertgoers, unless they conceal the screen somehow and/or keep them close to their chests.

On the other hand… while I haven’t gone through these videos yet—I have only checked out a couple—and I won’t be doing that until my show later this month, I’m glad these shows are getting documented somehow. It’s unlikely she will be playing festivals with this set so chances of a pro-shot concert recording are low for now.

BTW I find it funny there is so much furniture on stage!

Short interview clips with people involved in the tour have been popping up on Polly's socials - so far there's one with Ian Rickson, one with John Parish, and one with the set and lighting designers Rae Smith and Paule Constable.

I was at Manchester last night too. The show was absolutely riveting.

One thing that was different from the previous gigs is they didn't use the "twiggy" backdrop, instead the lighting folks were able to pick out the huge organ (fnarr, fnarr) as a feature instead. In fact the lighting folks deserve a lot of credit for enhancing the show. There was a point in Nether Edge where Polly stood in front of a rotating light that made it look like she was in a tunnel of light which was extraordinary too. I watched the Roundhouse video on YouTube and I don't think they did that there.

Also, there is a good review of the first Manchester night here:

edit: I found a pic of the "tunnel of light" moment, thanks Twitter:

I like PJ plays the entire new album, but the truth is that the setlists are a bit repetitive and predictable. I can't believe she doesn't play anything from the 'Stories from the City' album for example!

That may be true for us who follow every show, but for the majority of people who go to the show, they may not know what's going to be played.

Speaking of versatility, she wore a new/different dress on the second night in Paradiso:

I have become mildly obsessed with Lwonesome Tonight since the London gig...

This is such a good video of it being performed at a recent show...

On the setlist thing - i am usually all in on the mix it up bus....but i feel with the new album being played in full it is more of a show with a narrative than a gig, and that the 2nd half songs have been picked carefully to compliment that narrative and it works.

The overwhelming majority of people will only see 1 show and i feel PJH wants that show to tell this story.

I also feel when you are on a more regular type tour where new album is not played in full and also maybe in bigger venues where there are more 'casual' fans and also maybe more people seeing multiple shows that the mixing it up works better than it would in these limited in number and very small capacity shows.

Just my take - probably makes no sense how i have put it mind!

I am loving the live versions of "Autumn Term" on Youtube. I love the song because it has such a funky atmosphere to it. The groove is very nice. Polly Jean is having fun onstage for the first time in years. She seems to be into it.
