Not sure if this has been posted.

Thanks to someone - nueve08 - on youtube comments for this:

Michael Stipe: "PJ Harvey is one of those musicians you can't match no matter what you do... she's unique"

She's done one of the best covers of Rid Of Me.... And never fails to pay tribute to PJ!

Some LES love:

Don Van Vliet loved it

Shirley Manson gushed about "Written on the forehead" ages ago

"The Words That Maketh Murder" made Patti Smith "happy to be alive"

Patrick Wolf danced to TWTMM at the NME awards while she performed

Jarvis Cocker played "Let England Shake" on his BBC show

James Dean Bradfield mentioned he had bought the new album

Portishead's Geoff Barrow on Twitter (about LES):

"Yes Polly Harvey !!! Proper record!!! Thank you."

he seems to hate pretty much everything and everybody in the charts nowadays so must be a real compliment coming from him  But I guess he's always been a fan of PJ.

Cold War Kids (matt maust): "I can't wait to watch PJ Harvey and Kanye West . . . Arcade Fire, definitely; the National; and Sleigh Bells. I love PJ Harvey's new record, so I'm most excited about that." (on who he's looking forward to seeing at Coachella)

Billy Bragg: "Let England Shake" is brilliant(how right he is!)

Also, Henry Rollins has been playing tracks from the album quite regularly on his KCRW show. So far he has played the title track twice, written on the forehead and bitter branches.

Well done, Polly_Jean_Cave. I wish I could quote him word for word but he definitely called the album brilliant.

And here's Billy on Henry Rollins' show!

Boy George commented on Twitter a few days ago that he thought "PJ Harvey is a genious" and that her new songs were great" (in response to the jools program)

Also,

Marianne Faithfull had this to say in a recent interview: " Which living person do you most admire, and why?
:Right now, PJ Harvey.
